Jennie's Gloves

Jennie is a recent knitting convert, having a background of truly amazing crochet projects. She also likes a challenge, and decided that one of her earliest forays into knitting should be gloves. Not mittens, not socks, which we suggested to introduce herself more gently to knitting in the round, but a multitude of tiny needles to make these.

She has done a fabulous job using a free vintage pattern for classic gloves but leaving out the stitch pattern and just using plain stocking stitch in order to display the colour changes in the Regia Kaffe Fassett colourway "Carribean Mirage" sock yarn to their best advantage.
. Jennie has quite small hands, and made both gloves from less than one 50g ball of the sock yarn, despite the pattern calling for 2 balls. She is now working on tiny mittens for her 2 year old. Now that she has made these gloves, she makes even a size 2 thumb knit in the round look easy.

  1. Those gloves look fantastic and the color is perfect too. What a great project for someone who doesnt knit a lot in the round, I dont think I could even achieve those.
